Visiting this website
We use Google Analytics (GA4) to collect standard, anonymised information about how visitors use this website — such as which pages are visited most and how people navigate through the site. This data is used only to improve the website and is not used to identify individual visitors. We do not share this data with any third party for advertising purposes.

Contacting us by email or phone
If you contact us by email at iomfoodanddrink@gov.im or by telephone, we will collect your name and contact details, and any other information you choose to provide.
This information is used only to respond to your enquiry. Emails are stored on the Isle of Man Government’s Microsoft Outlook system. We will only share your information outside the Department where necessary to respond to your enquiry, and only with your knowledge.
Correspondence will be retained for six months after your request has been fulfilled, then deleted in line with our records management schedule.
Signing up to our mailing list
If you sign up to receive updates from The Big Manx Feast, your email address will be added to our mailing list, managed via Mailchimp. You can unsubscribe at any time by following the unsubscribe link in any email we send you, or by contacting us directly. Mailchimp’s privacy policy is available at mailchimp.com/legal/privacy.
Social media
The Big Manx Feast has social media profiles. If you send us a direct message or interact with us on social media, please also review the relevant platform’s own privacy policy and terms of service. Social media messages are managed by the Marketing and Business Intelligence Division of Business Isle of Man and will only be kept for one month after an enquiry has been concluded.

How we protect your personal data
All personal information is held securely. This includes:
- Email — stored on the Isle of Man Government’s Microsoft Outlook system, encrypted in line with government standards.
- CRM — Business Isle of Man uses Microsoft Dynamics CRM, administered by Government Technology Services in the Cabinet Office (who cannot access the content of records).
- Secure Network — the Isle of Man Government Secure Network has strict access controls so that only staff with a legitimate business need can access personal information.
Your rights
Under the Isle of Man Data Protection Act 2018, you have the following rights in relation to any personal data we hold about you:

Retention
We only keep personal information for as long as it is needed, in accordance with the law and the Isle of Man Government’s retention schedules.
Children
The Big Manx Feast does not target services to children and does not knowingly collect personal data from children under the age of 13 for marketing purposes or user registration.

If you have a concern about how we are handling your personal data, please contact our Data Protection Officer in the first instance. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Isle of Man Information Commissioner.
